Halloween Post Card ~ Art Exchange

I am currently working on a fun art exchange, Halloween post cards.  The premise is, members of this art exchange will create 6 post cards which will be distributed to all members of the exchange.  Each artist will end up with 6 different forms of art from 6 different people :-)  I have 2 post cards made to date ~ Pics to follow.  Happy Halloween to you all....have a SPOOKTACULAR month!

Art...what is it?

Can art define a person or does a person define their art?  Understandably, what appeals to one may repel another.  What art defines who you are?  Do you like bold, chunky and questionable marks on a canvas or a refurbished item discarded but now restored with loving grace and determination?  What ever appeals to you is unique and does not require explanation.  There is that saying, "art is in the eye of the beholder" which is quick to the point.  Some art is very deep because of the viewer's ability to connect with the item.  Then there are those pieces that make no sense at all but liven up a room or draws a wondering eye upon its questionable allure.  I think art is beautiful because it doesn't have to make sense or even serve a purpose.  Allow yourself to explore...gaze upon all that there is around you...be inspired by nature and that with which you love and/or admire.  Be free and ponder!
